Community Happenings

Working Together

Working together, we have created several projects to serve the community.

The Women's Resource Center acts as an "incubator" for women's programs and services in Central Florida - projects now sustained in the community. The WRC also co-sponsors activities and programs with other women's groups.

In 2013 we partnered with Harriett Lake, The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation and the League of Women Voters to present "A Night to Remember". This event focused on women's right to vote. Many ladies and men put on their best 1920's outfit to enjoy an "All American meal" while watching the film Iron Jawed Angels featuring Hillary Swank. It was an a fun filled event enjoyed by many. Please note on your calendar that we are currently planning on bringing back this event in 2020 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of 19th Amendment and the right for women to vote.
